AbleChildAfrica works in Africa with disabled children and disabled young people
Our commitment to the rights of disabled children and young people will send a clear message that their rights cannot be denied any longer.
We will work with partners who are committed to fully listening to and involving children and families. We will also encourage our partners to ensure their staff and volunteers are representative of the communities which they serve.
We will allow partners the opportunity to tell us what they think and need and will work with them to develop interventions and agreements which reflect the needs of the partner organization and those with whom they work.
We will seek to ensure the full participation of groups who have faced discrimination because of their disability, gender or their national, local or self-defined identity. We will promote these values throughout our work.
We are committed to the growth of strong local organisations and will strive to ensure that they are sustainable. We will support partner organisations to identify their own objectives and help them to find the resources to achieve them.
